Residential Distribution
Door-to-door distribution has become a major advertising tool for companies choosing to target large numbers of potential customers.
Mail2U has a delivery network of almost 700,000 residential properties in Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, and County Durham.
Our team has developed a range of distribution methods that are aimed at meeting the requirements of a varied customer base. Distribution is usually carried out in postcode sectors however it is possible to distribute by council wards, or by specific routes when required. Mail2U has three main residential services; Shared, solo, and targeted.
Leaflet Distribution
Shared leaflet distribution
Mail2U distributes up to 70,000 residential properties per week on our shared distribution runs. Items are distributed alongside other non-conflicting items. Prices start from £25 per thousand but will vary depending on the areas distributed to and the size of the item. Customers booking 20,000 or more items may benefit from reducing distribution rates.
Solo leaflet distribution
Mail2U distributes up to 20,000 solo items per week. Your item will be distributed on its own and we can either blanket distribute required postcodes or target selected areas. Generally, one-week lead time is required for this service.
Prices start from £85 per thousand and like shared prices will vary depending on the areas distributed and the size of the item.
Targeted Distribution
If you need to target a selection of streets or housing estates our team can create a bespoke distribution run based on your specific requirements. Usually, items are distributed as a solo drop with pricing varying depending on your requirements, with smaller distributions being charged for the staff time and larger distributions based on price per thousand rates.
These services are ideal for customers wishing to get their message across to a very targeted audience with both magazines and leaflets able to be distributed using this service.
Magazine Distribution
Shared magazine distribution
Mail2U has the capacity to distribute up to 130,000 residential properties with magazines over a two-week period.
Items are either added to pre-scheduled distribution dates and will be distributed alongside other items, or customised distribution runs can be created and items will then be added to this distribution run. Prices start from £60 per thousand and will vary depending on the areas distributed to, whether a distribution run is created, and the size of the item.
Solo magazine distribution
Your item will be distributed on its own and can be used to blanket postcodes or target selected areas. Generally, a one-week lead time is required for this service. Prices start from £95 per thousand and will vary depending on the areas distributed to and the size of the item.
Magazine distribution is ideal for organisations wanting to distribute larger items like lifestyle magazines, local directories, visitor guides, and prospectuses.

Street Level Distribution
Directly targeting customers in public areas is an effective way of getting your message across. Mail2U provides two main services: Bulk Distribution and Flyering.

Bulk Distribution
Mail2U has a monthly magazine run visiting just over 400 designated outlets in the North East’s main population centres from Newcastle upon Tyne heading south to Darlington.
These outlets include:

• Cafes and coffee shops
• Music venues
• Art spaces
• Universities and colleges
Prices start from £25 per thousand and £60 for magazines, prices will vary depending on the size of the item. Our team will be on hand to offer advice on how many items you require and the types of outlets to target.
Hand to Hand
